Counselor Supervisors (CS): Supervises and supports an assigned group of campers, counselors, and staff, ensuring safety, well-being, group functioning, and program engagement. Coordinates camper care, provides mentorship, leads team meetings, and ensures required documentation is completed accurately and on time. Education and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and 18 years or older required; priority is given to those who have previously worked at MHKC on Staff.

Assistant Counselor Supervisor (ACS): Assists with the overall supervision and support of an assigned group of campers and counselors, including camper care and program engagement. Serves as a role model for counselors, supports effective group functioning, and ensures group safety, well-being and that required documentation is completed accurately and on time. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred; 18 years or older required.

*All Program Staff positions require a two-week session commitment (week one Sunday-Saturday, week 2 Monday-Saturday). In addition to leading and facilitating specific program areas, Program Staff are assigned to a group of campers and counselors as support staff, assisting with camper care as schedules allowed. Program Staff also help plan and lead evening activities, including hike, skits, songs.

Adventure Course Facilitator: Leads and delivers programming at MHKC’s Adventure Course, including the rock wall, zipline, flying squirrel, stream crossing, and giant swing. Receives course-specific on-site training during an additional training weekend. Minimum of 4-week commitment required. Must be 18 years or older.

Arts and Crafts Facilitator: Leads and delivers arts and crafts programming. Prepares, rinses, and cleans tie-dye shirts and maintains cleanliness and organization of art building. Must be 16 years or older.

Horseback Riding Facilitator: Leads and delivers horseback riding programming manages daily care of MHKC’s horses. Previous horse care experience required; Must be 18 years or older.

Lifeguard- Pool: Provides lifeguard coverage for all pool-related activties and assists with basic care of pool facilities. Additional on-site training weekend required, must be able to pass American Red Cross Shallow Water Certification Course or have current Lifeguard Certification. Must be 16 years or older; Lead Lifeguards must be 18 years or older.

Recreation Facilitator: Creates, leads, and delivers recreation programming including adaptive bikes, team-building activities, field games, and fishing. You must be 16 years or older.

Behavioral Support: Provide additional support to staff and counselors through coaching behavior intervention strategies, monitoring camper behavior, and preparing communication and behavior support materials. Shares responsibility with the Leadership Team for coverage during morning, break, and night duties. This position works Sunday- Wednesday of week one and Monday-Wednesday of week 2 for all weeks. Previous MHKC experience and certification is preferred. Required to attend Ukeru Intervention training through MHKC.

Camp Nurse: Directs all aspects camper and staff health and safety. Responsiblities include health and medicine reviews during camper check-in, medication preparation and dispensing, providing first aid and general health care, and assisting with any emergencies. Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) only; one-week commitment required: 1st week of Session Sunday- Saturday, 2nd week of Session Monday-Saturday.

Kitchen Lead: Oversees daily kitchen and dining hall operations, ensuring timely service of safe, nutritious meals for campers, staff, and guests. Supervises and supports kitchen staff, coordinates meal preparation and service, maintains sanitation and food safety standards, and collaborates closely with the Kitchen Manager and Program Director. Prior professional cooking experience and staff supervision experience and staff supervision experience required. Food Handler’s Certification required or willingness to obtain. You must be 18 years or older.

Line/Prep Cook: Assists with the preparation and service of camp meals, snacks, and pack-out food while maintaining cleanliness, food safety standards, and efficient kitchen operations. Supports inventory management, sanitation, and sustainability practices, and works collaboratively as part of the kitchen team to ensure a positive dining experience. Kitchen experience preferred. Food Handler’s Certification required or willingness to obtain. You must be 16 year or older.

Dishes and Dinning Hall Assistant: Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the dining hall, dishwashing area, and kitchen support spaces. Assists with dishwashing, dining hall setup and breakdown, garbage and recycling, and may support basic food preparation as needed. Helps create a welcoming, safe, and organizes dining environment for campers, staff, and guests. Food Handler’s Certification required or willingness to obtain. You must be 16 years or older.

Custodian: Maintains the cleanliness and general upkeep of camp facilities, including lodging areas, restrooms, and common areas. One week (Monday-Saturday) commitment minimum; 16 years or older.
